Experience D/S Skibladner
The most scenic view of Lake Mjøsa is available on the paddle steamer Skibladner on a beautiful summer's day. Six days a week at 09:30, the sound of the ships's bell and steam whistle sound notice that the boat is embarking on its journey from Gjøvik pier. In its 160th year, the paddle steamer is just as elegant and stately as ever - and the world's oldest of her kind in regular traffic.
The ship’s restaurant “1. plads Matsalon” is one of the region’s best restaurants, with an interior that is breathtaking. Start your day with a tasty breakfast, enjoy a salad for lunch or enjoy a meal featuring Skibladner’s traditional salmon, followed up with fresh strawberries and coffee.
